Just completed my 3rd door screen.
I can honestly say that these are fantastic.
We have one mounted internally on French doors and one mounted externally over a single width door.
We can have both doors wide open from early morning to late evening and no flies during the day and no midges/mosquitos or moths in the evening when the lights are on. Super easy to fit and no issues so far after 2 years on my first order.
However, the fly screen material is standard from top to bottom and after a short while you forget it’s there and you can’t see it so it’s very easy to walk into it. I really like the ‘clean’ look of the fly screen itself but now I think that if it were an option then I’d go for one with a pattern. Something simple just to remind you that it’s pulled shut.
We’ve got a couple of bits of ribbon safety pinned to ours now.
Otherwise. ACE product.

I recently decided to change the flyscreen on our motorhome. It was seriously difficult as the bodywork inside doesn't easily allow for it. I used the DIY flyscreen because it was light enough and allowed for some modification around the lock. After I built up the frame of the motorhome door with 2" x 1" timber, the flyscreen fitted perfectly and looks great. It took me several days to do the modifications but the DIY flyscreen was the easiest part, it took only a few minutes. I look forward to summer.

Assembly is so easy, just push the four parts together. If not mounting at floor level, make sure to put packing at each end to get the correct height, not just in the middle, to ensure the channel doesn't bow. All 4 sides are flexible to a degree and care needs to be taken when finally offering the frame into place that the verticals do stay vertical. When measuring, don't set the latch side more than 1.5 cm in from the main door frame otherwise it makes the latch difficult to get to when opening the screen.

Echoing the other comments, it is a good piece of technology - delivered to spec, it does what it promises, fits neatly and compactly, easy to install. Follow the measurements and installation instructions for best results.

Not only is this a first class product that does exactly what it's meant to, it was also very easy to assemble and fit (please note this is coming from a DIY numpty).
Also the company has just been amazing with helping me out on a couple of snags (caused by me I hasten to add!!) - it's service that you don't see very often these days.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending diyflyscreens as the company to go to for all your insect screens.

The screen was very easy to fit, looks really good, and does the job well.
We wanted something that disappears when not in use, it meets that requirement well, you'd hardly notice it.
The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is, we find it a little fiddly to open and close. The handle is marked "pull" "push" on the appropriate side, it took a little while to get the knack of using the handle rather than bending the screen.

Having made the decision to purchase 5 medium and 1 large pull down fly screen together with a pull across door fly screen I am very pleased with the final result. The windows blend well with my Uvpc conservatory and door. The windows, with care, were easy to install - and are very effective in operation. The door was less easy to install as it's very flexible prior to adhering to the door frame, and having inadvertantly touched the door frame in the wrong position it was almost impossible to adjust. I ended up using a three foot long crowbar in order to unstick before repositioning it. This is despite using two people to do the job. All ended well however, and I can vouch for the immense strength of the adhesive which bodes well for longevity of all of the fixings

These screen are wonderful, I have been looking for Screens that are more inconspicuous as I didn’t want or need a fly screen outside of the summer months, these are the perfect solution as they roll back into the cassette.
Ordering is very easy, so is measuring and a quick confirmation with diyflyscreens to double check the sizes I had my screens a few dats later.
I’m now looking to screen other window. I couldn’t be happier.
